WIND MOIRÉ

Data visualization produced as part of the composition Keiichi Matsuda's PRISM installation. Inspired by patterns and textiles from William Morris collection (V&A Museum), I created Wind Moiré as informational visualization, a real-time visual rendering based on the supply of wind direction and temperature data captured by weather stations in London. The Prism (Keiichi Matsuda) installation was a sculptural patchwork mapped by different projection of graphic visualizations specially created by several contributors.

(data visualization code programmed in Processing. The graphic patterns are generated according to an algorithm I developed that considers the direction and speed of the wind, in addition to the period of real-time data reading)
