PARABOLA

The installation consists of eight suspended light boxes. Each box contains a photographic image of the PARABOLA series. Analog photographs were reproduced on transparent support. The image construction process followed a creation rule based on the gesture of appropriating found scenographic objects (objet trouvé), and the use of architectural spaces in a state of construction or demolition. The work delimits a narrative route punctuated in the geometric figure. Beyond the curve, a parable can mean allegorical narration in which a set of elements evokes, by comparison, other realities. We used the motif of "rise and fall" to construct a PARABOLA, an allegorical work both in form and in meaning. In addition to the photographs, the installation also features a set of eight poems, and a text by the translator and poet Álvaro Faleiros.
